Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg LLC started testing first indigenous Russian modular compressor units (MCU) at one of the cluster pads of the Yamburgskoye field. This unique development has been designed to advance production of low-pressure gas and increase the fields lifespan.

The first booster compressor station was constructed at the Zapolyarnoye field and it started functioning at CGTU-3S.

In October, comprehensive gas treatment unit №2 of the Yamburgskoye field was named after Yusif Ilyasov.

In March, qualifying matches of the first round of the Europe/Africa Zone of Davis Cup took place in Novy Urengoy. Men’s national teams of Russia and Denmark met at the court of the Health and Sports Center of Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg.

On October 12 at 23.37 Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg produced a total of 5 trillion cubic meters of gas.

In January, the Zapolyarnoye field was brought to its full project capacity — 130 bcm of gas per year.

In June, Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom's Management Committee, affirmed an investment decision to develop the Kamennomysskoe-sea field. Gazprom dobycha Yamburg was appointed the operator of it.

2012 

In May, Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg LLC hosted IV Regular Open International championship “Yamburg Cup — Yamal 2012” in kumite kyokushinkai.

In December, comprehensive gas treatment unit (CGTU) 1V was put into operation at the Zapolyarnoye oil, gas and condensate field.

2011

In April, gas and condensate treatment unit № 2V was put into operation at the Zapolyarnoye field. The development of the Neocomian(Valanginian) deposits of the Zapolyarnoye field started.

In June, the Zapolyarnoye field reached a milestone: the first billion cubic meter of Valanginian gas was produced.

In October, Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg LLC hosted an offsite meeting of the working group «Human Resources, Education and Sciences» of the European Business Congress. They addressed the issue of rotational team method of labor organization.

In October, children's sport school Yamburg, based in the sport centre in Novy Urengoy, started to work.

In December, Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg LLC and municipal formation of the Tazovsky region of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug signed the General agreement on cooperation for the period of 2011–2015.

In January, Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg LLC launched a new automated gas distribution station in the settlement of Tazovsky.

In December, Aneryakhinskaya area of the Yamburgskoye field was brought to its design capacity of 10 bcm of gas per year.

In February, first gas was transferred from the Aneryakhinskaya area of the Yamburgskoye field to the trunk pipeline.

In October, Gaz-Sale — Tazovsky gas pipeline was put on stream. It was constructed by Yamburggazdobycha LLC to supply the settlements of the Tazovsky region of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug with gas.

In November, Vladimir Putin, RF President, during a working visit to the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, visited the Zapolyarnoye field.

In December, Oleg Andreev was appointed Director General of Yamburggazdobycha LLC.

In October, gas and condensate treatment unit №3V was put into operation at the Yamburgskoye field.

In March, Yamburg airport was opened to civil and cargo airplanes of all types.

1994 

In March, pioneer party was sent from Yamburg to the settlement of Tazovsky to set up a base for further development of the Zapolyarnoye field. Zapolyarnaya directorate for field infrastructure development and Zapolyarnoye oil, gas and condensate production directorate were formed.

1992 

In January, the Cooperation Agreement on the development of Zapolyarnoye field was signed between state-owned company Yamburggazdobycha and administration of the Tazovsky region.

In December, comprehensive gas treatment unit №4 was put into operation at the Yamburgskoye field.

In March, comprehensive gas treatment unit №1V was put into operation at the Yamburgskoye field.

In December, comprehensive gas treatment unit №7 was put into operation at the Yamburgskoye field.

In July, by the order of the Minister of the USSR Gas Industry Alexander Margulov was appointed Director General of production association Yamburggazdobycha.

1986 

In July, Novy Urengoy —Yamburg railway line was tested for the first time.

In July, the country's government made a decision on the field infrastructure and operation of the Yamburgskoye field by a rotational team method of labor organization.

In September, comprehensive gas treatment unit №2 was put into operation at the Yamburgskoye field. Gas from Yamburg was shipped to the trunk line.

1984 

In June, first cubic meter of gas were produced from the Yamburgskoye field for local requirements.

In September, Yamburg settlement of Nyda rural council of Nadym region was formed by decision of the executive committee of Tymen Province Council of People's Deputies.

In September, order to establish production association Yamburggazdobycha as part of All-Union production enterprise Tyumengazprom was signed. Sergey Pashin was appointed Director General.

In October, production dispatcher service, used to be a part of Nadymgazprom, was joined with production association Yamburggazdobycha.

1983 

In July, drilling of the first production well was finished. Drilling was conducted by drilling crew under guidance of foreman V. Gavrilenko from Polar expedition of deep drilling.

In September, an order to deliver large-sized modular packaged units by floating platforms for the construction of the Yamburgskoye field infrastructure.


1982 

In January, tractor and sled train arrived to the construction site of a future settlement. The convoy consisting of 39 trucks and motor cars delivered portable cabins, equipment for a canteen and a boiler station, two power plants to the field. The development of the Yamnburgskoye field began.

In July, an order on formation of Directorate of the Yamburgskoye field development.

1980 

In October, first party came to the Yamburgskoye field. Seven employees of Gas production Directorate of production association Nadymgazprom arrived by tracked cross-country vehicle (currently- Gazprom dobycha Nadym LLC). Having covered a distance of 400 kilometers from Nadym, they broke a path for future conquerors of new ground.

1969 

In August, the Yamburgskoye field was discovered. Prospecting works were done by Tazovsky geological survey expedition under guidance of drilling foreman V.Romanov.

1965 

In February, the Zapolyarnoye oil, gas and condensate field was discovered.

1962 

In April, Tazovsky oil, gas and condensate field was discovered. Gas spouter gushed from the well with an output of over one million cubic meters per day in the area of Tazovsky settlement.

1958 

In March, geological survey expedition, headed by Vadim Bovanenko, was formed. Its purpose was to prove predictions of academician I. Gubkin about the possibility of gas bearing area in the Western Siberia.
